Extreme racing turbocharger upgrade for the AMG 5.5 liter V8 biturbo (M157) – uncompromising air delivery, maximum thermal load capacity and high-end performance for power levels up to approx. 1000 hp.

Description

This TTH racing turbocharger package for the Mercedes-AMG M157 5.5L V8 biturbo represents a consistent evolution of classic Stage 3 and hybrid solutions. It is based on a conversion to Garrett GTX3071 Gen.2 core assemblies (CHRA) , designed for maximum airflow, extreme RPMs, and maximum thermal stability. The system is aimed at uncompromising high-power projects where stock or hybrid turbochargers can no longer meet the performance requirements.

  • High-performance Garrett fuselage assemblies for extreme air handling
  • Milled extended-tip compressor wheels
  • High-performance turbines for maximum exhaust gas flow
  • Reinforced bearings for very high speeds
  • Optimized gap dimensions for maximum efficiency
  • Inlet machining to reduce flow losses
  • Fine balancing down to 0.05 g
  • In-house TTH manufacturing and final inspection

Adjustments & Installation Instructions

  • Oil and water connections need to be re-made.
  • Peripheral adjustments are absolutely necessary
  • Plug-and-play functionality is not available – individual modifications are necessary.
  • Installation by specialized companies only is recommended.

Requirements

  • High-performance fuel system (low & high pressure)
  • Large charge air cooling is absolutely necessary
  • Flow-optimized exhaust system required
  • Individual engine and transmission software is indispensable.
  • Reinforced auxiliary components are strongly recommended.
