High-performance upgrade turbocharger based on OEM specifications for the Mercedes-AMG 3.0 liter M256 – maximum efficiency, high durability and the technical basis for power levels up to 650 hp.
Description
The TTH upgrade turbocharger for the Mercedes-AMG 3.0-liter M256 inline six-cylinder engine is based on the original BorgWarner/Mercedes-Benz OEM turbocharger and has been specifically further developed for performance-oriented applications. Extensive mechanical optimizations have resulted in a turbocharger that delivers significantly higher airflow while maintaining stable pressure and temperature control. The result is powerful, linear power delivery with high durability – ideal for demanding performance and racing setups.
Optimizations to the OEM turbocharger
- Milled extended-tip compressor wheel with increased delivery capacity
- Performance turbine for reducing exhaust back pressure
- Reinforced bearing for high thermal and mechanical loads
- Inlet machining for improved flow efficiency
- Fine balancing down to 0.05 g for maximum smoothness of operation
- In-house manufacturing and processing according to TTH specifications
