TTH EA839 600 Turbocharger Upgrade
Audi RS4 B9 & RS5 F5 – 2.9 TFSI Bi-Turbo
Optimized OEM twin turbochargers for the EA839 – noticeably more air mass, reduced exhaust back pressure and stable performance as a basis for setups up to approx. 600 hp.
Description
The TTH EA839 600 turbocharger upgrade is based on the OEM BorgWarner/Porsche twin-turbochargers of the VAG EA839 2.9 TFSI engine. The goal is a significantly improved flow efficiency on both the compressor and exhaust sides, enabling a power increase of up to approximately 600 hp when combined with suitable peripherals and professional ECU tuning. The focus is on rapid response, pressure stability , and a robust design for performance-oriented modifications.
Technology & Construction
- Milled extended-tip compressor wheels with modern geometry
- CNC-optimized compressor housings for gap minimization
- Turbine grinding to reduce exhaust back pressure
- Precise fine balancing for smooth running
- OEM base with plug-and-play assembly
- Manufacturing and calibration in Germany
Application area & performance
- Designed for setups up to approximately 600 hp (vehicle dependent)
- Improved responsiveness compared to the standard model.
- More power reserve at increased boost pressure
- Stable performance even under high thermal stress
Conversion note
- This involves the processing of the delivered turbochargers.
- Prerequisite: technically flawless condition of the standard turbochargers
- In case of damage or irregularities, a preliminary inspection is required.
compatibility
- Audi RS4 B9 – 2.9 TFSI Bi-Turbo (EA839)
- Audi RS5 F5 – 2.9 TFSI Bi-Turbo (EA839)
The decisive factor is the EA839 2.9 TFSI Bi-Turbo engine. The achievable power output depends on the overall setup, hardware specifications, and fuel quality.
Notes
Installation and commissioning must be carried out by a qualified workshop . Additional engine components and individual engine software tuning are mandatory for achieving the desired performance. Modifications to power output and emissions may restrict use on public roads.
