BlackBoost Catless Downpipes
Mercedes-AMG E53 M256
Racing downpipes without catalytic converters – maximum efficiency for the AMG inline six-cylinder turbo engine.
Description
The BlackBoost Catless Downpipes for the Mercedes-AMG E53 with the M256 3.0L inline six-cylinder turbo engine (W213) were developed for performance applications where exhaust backpressure needs to be significantly reduced. By completely removing the standard catalytic converters, the exhaust flow is considerably accelerated, resulting in a more spontaneous turbocharger response and more efficient power delivery .
Exhaust flow & performance characteristics
- Virtually resistance-free exhaust gas flow
- Reduced exhaust backpressure for improved boost pressure build-up
- Faster turbocharger response
- Optimized performance with tailored setups
- A noticeably more pronounced, sporty exhaust sound
Design & Execution
- Flow-optimized pipe routing
- High-quality, heat-resistant materials
- Cleanly executed, durable welded joints
- Design tailored for direct replacement of standard components
- Designed for high exhaust gas temperatures and power levels
