Der BMC FB224/01 ist ein Plattenfilter (Tauschfilter) aus geöltem Baumwollgewebe; er wird passend für Mercedes AMG GLE63 S 5.5 M157 anstelle des Serienfilters in den vorhandenen Luftfilterkasten eingesetzt.

Was ist das für ein Produkt?

BMC (Italien) bezeichnet diesen Filtertyp als Ersatz- bzw. Tauschluftfilter: Er wird in den originalen Luftfilterkasten des Fahrzeugs eingesetzt und ersetzt dort den Serienfilter, ohne dass Ansaugtrakt oder Luftfilterkasten umgebaut werden. Laut Hersteller verbindet das Filtermedium einen höheren Luftdurchsatz mit einer effizienten Filterung.

Das Filtermedium besteht aus mehreren Lagen Baumwollgewebe, getränkt mit niedrigviskosem Öl und abgedeckt von einem epoxidbeschichteten Metallgitter. Der Filter wird vorgeölt geliefert und lässt sich mit dem passenden BMC-Reinigungsset waschen und neu ölen.
